A Christian, Cottage-style K-12 School

(launching fall of 2025)

CLA will launch in the fall of 2025 on the campus of Spilman Memorial Baptist Church. It will follow a homeschool-hybrid schedule which will meet on campus 3 days a week and virtually 2 days a week. As a cottage-style school our goal is not to grow large in number, but to focus on growing deep relationships with students and their families.

What is a cottage-style school?

A cottage-style school is an intentionally smaller educational environment focused on creating a relational atmosphere for students. Divided into a Lower School and Upper School, the Lower School will focus on foundational education in a nurturing setting and the Upper School will offer more advanced, independent learning. Both sections emphasize small class sizes, individualized attention, and a creative, hands-on approach to education using Charlotte-Mason curriculum.

Charlotte-Mason Curriculum

The Charlotte-Mason style of education focuses on a holistic, child-centered approach. It emphasizes living books, hands-on learning, and nature studies. Students engage in narration, develop strong moral character, and are encouraged to foster a love for learning through real-world experiences. This method nurtures creativity, critical thinking, and a deep connection to the world around them.

Application process

(enrollment is currently full for '25-26')

The re-enrollment period for current students will open in January of 2026. Open enrollment for the '26-'27 school year will open in February of 2026. CLA does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin the in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship programs, athletic programs, or other school-administered programs.
