Understanding God's true design for church relationships requires dismantling common misconceptions that have infiltrated modern church culture. Many approach church as an exclusive club, a platform for recognition, or a comfort zone, but these perspectives contradict biblical teachings.
The church was never meant to be a place of social status, personal fame, or mere entertainment.Instead, God designed the church to serve three primary functions. First, as an emergency room where broken people find healing and hope through Jesus Christ. Second, as a bridge facilitating reconciliation between God and humanity. Third, as a forge where believers undergo transformation through meaningful relationships and accountability. This design emphasizes service over status, community over comfort, and spiritual growth over personal gain. This understanding challenges believers to examine their approach to church involvement. It calls for a shift from a consumer mindset to a servant's heart, from building personal kingdoms to advancing God's kingdom.
True church relationships involve uncomfortable growth, genuine community, and a commitment to serving others rather than seeking to be served.
